Fitment Notes

• KA engine applications only - fits 240SX models equipped with the KA24E (single cam) or KA24DE (dual cam) engine. Does not fit 240SX models with the SR20DET engine (see Mishimoto MMFS-S13-89SR for the SR20 fan shroud kit).
• Fits the 1989-1994 S13 chassis Nissan 240SX only. Does not fit the 1995-1998 S14 chassis 240SX (see Mishimoto MMFS-240-95KA for the S14 KA fan shroud kit).

The Mishimoto MMFS-240-89KA is a direct-fit performance aluminum fan shroud kit engineered specifically for the 1989-1994 Nissan 240SX S13 equipped with the KA24E or KA24DE four-cylinder engine. It replaces the factory belt-driven mechanical cooling fan with a dual electric fan setup housed in a polished aluminum shroud - a fundamental cooling system upgrade that improves thermal efficiency, eliminates parasitic power loss from the mechanical fan, and gives the driver thermostatically controlled cooling management. The polished aluminum shroud is substantially lighter than OEM fan shroud assemblies while providing greater structural rigidity, and the direct-fit design mounts using the factory radiator mounting points without requiring any cutting, drilling, or fabrication.

The two included 12-inch slim electric fans are pre-mounted within the shroud and deliver over 1,150 CFM each as pullers - drawing air through the radiator core from the engine side and exhausting it rearward. The shroud housing seals the fans to the radiator face to ensure all drawn air passes through the radiator core rather than bypassing around the edges. All Mishimoto aluminum fan shrouds include an adhesive-backed foam sealing strip that fills any remaining perimeter gap between the shroud and the radiator, further ensuring that heat-soaked engine bay air cannot be recirculated through the cooling system. This complete seal is a significant advantage over standalone fan kits without a shroud, as an unsealed fan pulls a portion of already-heated air from the engine bay rather than fresh air from outside the vehicle.

This kit is designed for KA engine applications only - the S13 SR20 240SX uses a different cooling system layout and requires the separate Mishimoto MMFS-S13-89SR fan shroud. It is also specific to the 1989-1994 S13 chassis; the 1995-1998 S14 240SX with KA engine requires the MMFS-240-95KA kit. The fan shroud is compatible with both the factory stock radiator and the Mishimoto performance aluminum radiator (MMRAD-240-89KA), making it a natural complement to a complete cooling system overhaul.
