The 11th-generation Civic's L15CA turbocharged engine is a strong performer from the factory, but the stock intercooler - a 7-row tube-and-fin design with plastic end tanks - reaches its thermal limits under sustained aggressive driving, heat soak conditions, or modified power levels. The stock piping compounds the issue with restrictive diameters and rubber sections that degrade over time. The MMINT-CIV-22KBKWRD replaces both the intercooler and the full charge air circuit in a single purchase.
