Vehicle Fitment

  • 2004.5-2007 Ford F-250 Super Duty (6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - all trims)
  • 2004.5-2007 Ford F-350 Super Duty (6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - all trims)
  • 2004.5-2007 Ford F-450 Super Duty (6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - all trims)
  • 2004.5-2007 Ford F-550 Super Duty (6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - all trims)
  • 2005 Ford Excursion (6.0L Power Stroke Diesel - all trims)

Fitment Notes

  • Fits the 6.0L Power Stroke only - does NOT fit the 7.3L (1994-2003) or 6.4L (2008-2010) Power Stroke; separate ICP sensor kits are available for those engines
  • Direct-fit replacement - no modifications required; the sensor is engineered to OEM specification for precise fitment
  • Mishimoto strongly recommends replacing the pigtail harness at the same time as the sensor - factory pigtail connectors on high-mileage 6.0L trucks frequently become contaminated with oil, causing shorts and erratic sensor readings even after the sensor itself is replaced

Features

  • High-quality OEM-specification replacement ICP sensor restores proper injection control pressure monitoring and resolves the hard starting, rough idle, and power loss symptoms caused by ICP sensor failure
  • New replacement pigtail harness eliminates the contamination and short-circuit issues common in aged factory connectors - addressing a root cause of sensor malfunction that a sensor-only replacement does not fix
  • Durable O-ring seal on the sensor body ensures a leak-free, pressure-tight installation in the high-pressure oil system
  • Heat-shrink butt connectors included for a secure, moisture-resistant splice between the new pigtail and the vehicle's existing wiring harness
  • A cost-effective solution that can be confused with far more expensive injector failure - confirming an ICP sensor fault before replacing injectors can save significant repair cost
  • Backed by Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty

Product Description

The Mishimoto MMPS-F2D-05 is a direct-fit Injector Control Pressure (ICP) sensor and pigtail harness kit for the 2004.5-2007 Ford 6.0L Power Stroke. ICP sensor failure is one of the most common diagnostic issues on high-mileage 6.0L Power Stroke trucks - the sensor monitors the pressure of the high-pressure oil system that actuates the fuel injectors, and when it begins to fail or read inaccurately, the engine computer cannot deliver the correct injection timing. The result is a truck that is hard to start, idles roughly, or cuts out under load - symptoms that can easily be misdiagnosed as a far more expensive injector problem.

Replacing the sensor alone is often not sufficient. The factory pigtail connector on these trucks is exposed to engine oil and heat over years of service, and contamination inside the connector causes shorts and signal errors that persist even with a new sensor installed. Mishimoto addresses both failure modes in a single kit: an OEM-specification ICP sensor with a durable O-ring seal, a fresh replacement pigtail harness that bypasses the contaminated factory connector, and heat-shrink butt connectors for a secure splice into the truck's existing wiring. Backed by Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty.
