Product Description

The Mishimoto MMAI-FOST-13WBK is a 3" performance air intake system engineered for the 2013-2018 Ford Focus ST, featuring a wrinkle black powder-coated aluminum intake pipe and a black powder-coated airbox. The mandrel-bent 3" aluminum pipe reduces turbulence and increases airflow over the restrictive factory intake tube, delivering dyno-proven gains of up to 6 wheel horsepower and 5 lb-ft of torque on the stock ECU calibration -- no tune required. The aggressive intake tone under wide-open throttle is one of the most frequently noted improvements by Focus ST owners running this kit. The black powder-coated airbox is designed to isolate the filter from underhood heat sources, and it retains the stock cool air duct connection to channel ambient air from outside the engine bay. The filter is positioned to receive maximum airflow from the front of the vehicle for the coolest and densest charge possible. A silicone IAT (Intake Air Temperature) adapter for 2016+ model years is included in every kit, accounting for the sensor housing change Ford made that year -- no additional hardware purchase is required for 2016-2018 owners. The MMAI-FOST-13WBK carries CARB EO# D-759-1 for 2013-2015 model years and D-759-2 for 2016-2018 model years, making it 50-state legal. The oiled cotton gauze filter should be cleaned and re-oiled every 10,000-15,000 miles under normal driving conditions. Filter re-oiling is not covered under Mishimoto's Lifetime Warranty.
