Product Description

The Mishimoto MMRAD-TTN-04 is a direct-fit performance aluminum radiator for the 2004-2014 Nissan Titan, 2005-2014 Nissan Armada, and 2004-2013 Infiniti QX56 equipped with the 5.6L VK56 V8. The factory radiator on these platforms has two significant failure points that Mishimoto addresses simultaneously. First, the factory plastic end tanks become brittle after years of thermal cycling and are prone to cracking and coolant leaks - a well-documented problem on high-mileage examples. Mishimoto replaces them with aircraft-grade aluminum tanks TIG-welded to a 2-row brazed aluminum core that is 38% thicker and 37% larger in core volume than stock.

The second - and potentially more damaging - failure point is the factory in-tank transmission cooler. The factory cooler's plastic fittings are known to crack or loosen, causing engine coolant and automatic transmission fluid to mix. This cross-contamination destroys transmission clutch packs and can result in complete transmission failure. Mishimoto eliminates this failure mode by replacing the factory in-tank cooler with CNC-machined aluminum transmission cooler fittings that are made integral to the lower aluminum tank - they cannot loosen, back out, or crack under normal operation.
