The McLeod 6405507 is an RST Street Twin disc clutch kit with a billet steel flywheel for GM LS-series engines with a 6-bolt crankshaft flange. Rated to 800 HP, this economically priced twin disc clutch delivers high-horsepower holding capacity while maintaining smooth, street-friendly engagement through its organic/organic disc facing. The twin disc design distributes clamping force across two friction surfaces, allowing the clutch to handle significantly more power than a single disc setup without requiring excessive pedal pressure. Pedal effort is lighter than stock, and the organic disc material provides progressive, predictable engagement ideal for daily driving and spirited street use. The included billet steel flywheel features a 168-tooth ring gear with 0 balance for internally balanced LS applications. A CNC-machined and anodized adapter ring ensures precise alignment, and the Blanchard ground floater plate with multiple straps reduces noise for improved streetability. Low rotating mass enables quicker engine response and faster revs. This kit fits a wide range of GM LS-powered vehicles including the Corvette C5/C6, Camaro, Firebird/Trans Am, Pontiac GTO, Pontiac G8, and Cadillac CTS-V. The 2004-2007 CTS-V requires a separately purchased slave cylinder spacer (McLeod 1377-950). This clutch is designed exclusively for street use -- for competition applications, McLeod offers the RXT (1000 HP, part 6405507M) and RXT 1200 (1200 HP, part 6405507HD).
