The MBRP S60610AL is a 5-inch Armor Lite DPF-back exhaust system engineered for the 2020-2023 Chevrolet/GMC Silverado and Sierra 2500HD/3500HD equipped with the 6.6L Duramax L5P diesel engine. The DPF-back configuration retains all factory emissions equipment including the diesel particulate filter and replaces everything downstream, delivering meaningful improvements in exhaust flow and exhaust note without affecting emissions compliance. The 5-inch mandrel bent tubing significantly reduces backpressure versus the factory exhaust, allowing the turbocharged Duramax to expel exhaust gases more efficiently -- resulting in improved horsepower, torque, and reduced exhaust temperatures under load. MBRP's Armor Lite series uses 16-gauge heavy-duty aluminized steel tubing paired with a T304 stainless steel tip featuring a mirror-polished finish and rolled angle cut 6-inch outlet. The Tour Profile sound tuning delivers a deeper, more refined exhaust note under throttle without the aggressive volume of race-profile systems, making this equally suited to daily driving and long highway hauls. All piping bolts directly onto factory hanger locations with all necessary clamps, brackets, and hardware included. Fitment is limited to Extended Cab and Crew Cab configurations -- Regular Cab trucks are not supported. This system fits the 6.6L Duramax diesel only and is not compatible with the 6.6L V8 gasoline (L8T) engine. Aluminized steel is best suited for dry climates; owners in salt or high-humidity regions should consider the Armor Pro T304 stainless variant.
