The MBRP HG6100 is a rear frame hanger assembly designed exclusively for 1994-1997 Dodge Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 trucks equipped with the 5.9L 12-Valve Cummins diesel engine. It is a required add-on accessory when installing any MBRP S6100 series turbo-back exhaust system on these early second-generation Cummins trucks. The 1994-1997 Dodge Ram frame uses a different rear hanger architecture compared to the 1998-2002 body-style trucks - the S6100 system is designed to use factory hanger locations on 1998 and newer models, but those same locations are not present or do not align correctly on the 1994-1997 frame. The HG6100 bridges that gap by providing a dedicated bolt-on mounting point at the rear of the exhaust system that keeps the tailpipe properly supported and aligned.

Without a properly installed rear hanger, a turbo-back exhaust system's tailpipe section is left unsupported at its rearmost point, placing the entire weight of that section on the mid-pipe clamp joints and creating stress concentrations that accelerate clamp wear, promote leaks, and can cause premature cracking at the weld seams.
