Product Description

The MaxTrac 303050 is a 5-inch rear axle flip kit built specifically for 1998-2009 Ford Ranger trucks with 2WD coil spring front suspension. Rather than requiring an expensive new leaf spring pack that wouldn't improve ride quality over stock, this kit relocates your existing factory leaf springs underneath the axle, dropping the rear of the truck for a dramatic, low-profile stance while keeping the factory ride characteristics intact.

Because dropping the rear this much changes shock geometry, the kit requires a pair of shorter rear shocks (MaxTrac part# 2000LL-9, sold individually) to complete the installation properly. The kit itself ships with axle relocators and the mounting hardware needed to bolt it in, finished in a durable grey powder coat over steel construction.

This is a straightforward, budget-friendly way to get a lowered rear stance on a 2WD coil-spring Ranger without the cost of custom springs. It's not compatible with Rangers equipped with Ford's AdvanceTrac stability control system, and MaxTrac recommends staying at or under a 9-inch wheel width with at least 4.5 inches of backspacing.
