Product Description

The MaxTrac 1200SL-1 is a universal twin-tube, gas-charged front drop shock absorber designed for use with lowered 2WD trucks and SUVs across a wide range of applications. Featuring a stem-to-loop mounting configuration, it is specifically valved to complement lowering spindles, springs, or flip kits - delivering properly controlled damping and rebound at reduced ride heights rather than relying on a compressed OEM shock. The steel body, hardened chrome piston rod, and gas-charged design provide durability and consistent performance over the long term.

Sold as a single unit, this shock covers multiple platforms including the Chevrolet S-10/Blazer, GMC Sonoma, Chevrolet and GMC full-size 1500 trucks, Chevrolet Tahoe, Chevrolet Suburban, and the coil-spring Ford Ranger. Drop height is 2" on the S-10-based platforms and 3" on full-size GM and Ranger applications. All necessary mounting hardware is included, and installation requires no special tools. Order in pairs for a complete front replacement.
