Fitment Notes

• 2015-2025 Ford F-150: Requires notching of the bed support crossmember above the shackle for clearance - this is a confirmed requirement from MaxTrac and is not optional. If notching is not desired, use MaxTrac P/N 413710 (1" drop shackles) instead
• 1999-2014 Ford F-150: Applications with a bed rib directly above the shackle location may require loosening the bed bolts and lifting the bed to remove and install the upper shackle bolt - confirm before installation
• Ford F-250/F-350 applications: Actual drop achieved may vary slightly depending on OEM leaf spring configuration and factory block height
• Chevy Silverado / GMC Sierra 2500HD/3500HD: Actual drop varies from approximately 1.5" to 2.5" depending on cab style, bed length, and factory spring pack configuration

Product Description

The MaxTrac 411420 is a pair of 2" rear lowering leaf spring shackles designed to eliminate the factory rear rake - commonly called the "stink bug stance" - on a wide range of Ford and GM trucks. By replacing the OEM factory shackles with these shorter, heavier-gauge steel units, the rear of the vehicle drops approximately 2 inches (actual drop varies by application from 1.5" to 2.5"), bringing the rear ride height in line with the front for a level or slightly lowered appearance. Unlike lowering springs or flip kits, these shackles are a bolt-on solution that requires no modification to the leaf spring pack, no cutting of the frame, and no changes to the axle - the result is a cleaner stance that preserves the factory ride quality and spring rate.

Built from solid steel and finished in MaxTrac's signature gunmetal grey powder coat, the 411420 shackles are engineered to outlast OEM components. Greasable urethane bushings with pre-installed zerk fittings allow for routine greasing, which significantly extends bushing life compared to sealed rubber bushings that cannot be serviced. Installation requires only basic hand tools and a floor jack - both shackles can typically be installed in one to two hours. An important fitment note for 2015-2025 Ford F-150 owners: the full 2" drop with this shackle requires notching the bed support crossmember above the shackle for clearance.
