Fitment Notes

• Fits 2WD, 6-lug Tacoma models only - does NOT fit 4WD or 4-lug Tacoma models
• Front spindles increase track width by 0.75" per side after installation
• Requires 17" wheels or larger with maximum 4.75" backspacing
• Wheel and tire measuring required prior to installation - some trimming may be needed for optimal fender clearance
• MaxTrac does not recommend wheels wider than 9" or with less than 4.5" backspacing - doing so voids the manufacturer warranty
• Alignment check required after installation

Product Description

The MaxTrac K886842 is a complete 4"/2" lift kit with MaxTrac rear shocks engineered for the 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma in 2WD, 6-lug configuration. The front gains 4" of lift through solid ductile iron lift spindles that replace the factory steering knuckles, allowing the wheel hub to drop down relative to the truck's body. This approach retains the factory upper control arms, coil springs, front shocks, sway bar, and ABS lines - only the brake lines are swapped out for the included DOT-approved stainless braided extended units. The result is a 4" front lift with a factory-like turning radius and ride quality.

The rear lifts 2" via fabricated lift blocks, new U-bolts, and matched MaxTrac twin-tube rear shocks tuned for the new ride height. Installation is fully bolt-on with no cutting, welding, or grinding required. The kit clears up to 33" x 11.50" tires with the right wheel combination and requires 17" or larger wheels with a maximum of 4.75" backspacing. Note that this kit is for 2WD, 6-lug Tacomas only and does not fit 4WD or 4-lug models. An alignment check is required after installation.
