The MAHLE Motorsports PS98-009 is a complete six-cylinder piston and cylinder set engineered specifically for the 1978-1989 Porsche 911 Turbo (930) to convert the factory 3.3L turbocharged flat-six up to 3.4L displacement. The 98mm bore Nikasil-plated cylinders pair with forged 2618 alloy pistons featuring a 7.5:1 compression ratio designed for the high cylinder pressures of forced induction. Long-skirt piston geometry and slip-in cylinder installation match the factory architecture for a familiar build process, while delivering meaningful displacement and durability gains over the original Goetze hardware.

Each piston is coated with a phosphate dry film lubricant on the wrist pin bores to prevent galling, with Grafal anti-friction coating applied to the skirts for reduced wear. The included modern piston rings are significantly thinner and stronger than OEM cast rings, providing improved bore conformity, reduced friction, and superior ring seal -- translating directly to better cylinder pressure retention and longer service life. High-performance wrist pins and matching wrist pin clips are supplied with each set.
