Product Description

The MagnaFlow 23696 is an HM Grade Federal/EPA compliant direct-fit catalytic converter for the 1994-1997 Mazda Miata with the 1.8L engine. HM Grade designates higher precious metal catalyst loading than Standard Grade, providing improved conversion efficiency for OBD-II vehicles where insufficient conversion can trigger a P0420 check engine light. The ribbed stainless steel body minimizes thermal expansion and distortion under heat cycling, and the internal ribs protect the cushioning mat from direct exhaust gas exposure while keeping the ceramic substrate in proper alignment.
