Product Description

The MagnaFlow 23684 is a Standard Grade Federal/EPA Compliant Direct-Fit Catalytic Converter for the 1990-1993 Mazda Miata equipped with the 1.6L L4 and a Federal/EPA emission system. Standard Grade is MagnaFlow's designation for catalytic converters engineered for pre-1996 non-OBDII vehicles, using minimum required precious metal loading to meet Federal EPA standards while delivering a service life appropriate for the application. The 23684 is not CARB certified and is not legal for sale or installation in California, Colorado, or New York.

The converter is designed using MagnaFlow's 3D scanning metrology process to replicate the OE mounting geometry -- flange inlet and outlet, OEM-like O2 sensor port locations, and factory hanger positions -- for a bolt-on installation with no cutting or welding required. The single laser fusion weld body design reduces potential leak points compared to conventional multi-weld construction, and the compact, low-mass housing improves thermal efficiency. Built from 16 gauge 409 stainless steel tubing with 308 stainless steel MIG welds and OE-sized barbed 410 stainless steel hangers. An aluminized steel heat shield is attached at the factory.
