Liqui Moly 20010 is the Hypoid Gear Oil (GL5) SAE 85W-90 - a mineral-based, extreme-pressure gear lubricant for manual transmissions, hypoid axle drives, and differentials without limited-slip differential systems. Sold in a single 1-liter bottle. This product is NOT suitable for limited-slip differentials or differentials with wet clutch systems - these require a dedicated LS-rated gear oil. Only use where API GL-5 oil is stipulated by the manufacturer. Miscible with other gear oils of the same grade, but most effective when used alone.

Hypoid gears - the offset spiral bevel gear geometry used in most rear-axle differentials - impose extreme sliding contact loads that require specialized lubrication beyond what standard gear oils provide.
