Fitment Notes

• Sold individually - two shock absorbers are required for a complete rear replacement. Order two units for a full rear installation.
• Position: Rear - fits both left and right sides (same part number for both sides).
• Fitment is specific to 1988-1996 Chevrolet Corvette C4 models WITHOUT the factory Selective Ride Control (SRC) or electronically adjustable suspension option. Corvettes equipped with the SRC system (RPO FX3 on applicable years) use a different shock absorber specification and are not compatible with this part.
• The 1984-1987 C4 Corvette uses a different rear shock absorber specification and does not use this part number. The KG5571 is specific to the 1988-1996 model years.
• The C4 Corvette uses a unique independent rear suspension with a transverse fiberglass leaf spring and aluminum rear control arms. The rear shocks are mounted independently from the spring between the rear knuckle and chassis. The factory OE rear shock on many 1988-1996 Corvettes was a Bilstein monotube unit - making the KG5571 a direct OE monotube replacement. It also serves as a performance upgrade for any non-Bilstein-equipped examples.
