The KYB 344263 Excel-G is a direct OEM-replacement rear shock absorber covering an extensive range of GM full-size trucks and SUVs from 1988 through 2005, including the Chevrolet and GMC C/K Series pickups, Blazer, Tahoe, Yukon, C3500HD, GMC Savana 3500, and the first-generation Cadillac Escalade. A single non-handed part number fits both rear corners, simplifying ordering for a complete rear axle replacement. Built on the same KYB production lines that supply major vehicle manufacturers, the Excel-G restores factory ride control, rear load stability, braking performance, and towing characteristics through vehicle-specific valving.

The long-stroke nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube design (11.02 in. stroke) handles the demands of truck and SUV applications including towing, hauling, and off-road use, while hand-assembled valves in a pressurized clean room ensure precise, consistent damping control.
