The KYB 5650028 MonoMax is a high-performance rear shock absorber designed for selected Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 applications equipped with the factory Off-Road Suspension package. Its high-pressure monotube construction, large-diameter piston, and hardened 1/2-inch piston rod are engineered to provide strong damping control and durability for light-truck use.

This shock is installed at the rear axle and is cataloged for regular- and extended-cab configurations across the 2019-2021 Silverado/Sierra 1500 generation, with additional application coverage for the 2022 Silverado 1500 Limited and GMC Sierra 1500 Limited. The 5650028 is a specialized Off-Road Suspension application and should not be confused with KYB 5650023, which is specified for the Z85 Increased Capacity chassis package.
