Product Description

The KONI 8740-1574SPORT Sport Rear Shock is a performance-oriented shock absorber engineered specifically for the rear suspension of the Porsche Boxster 986 produced from 1996 to 2004. Part of KONI's Sport series, this yellow internally adjustable shock lets you fine-tune rebound damping to dial in handling and ride characteristics, providing responsive damping and improved road grip compared to worn or stock rear shocks.

Designed as a direct-fit replacement for the rear of Porsche Boxster models with 2.5L, 2.7L, or 3.2L flat-6 engines, the 8740-1574SPORT enhances chassis control and stability while maintaining reasonable ride comfort. It is compatible with stock ride height and most lowering spring setups up to approximately 35 mm. Sold individually, it is recommended to replace both rear shocks together for balanced performance.
