Fitment Notes

• Front Right (Passenger Side) complete strut assembly. This is a handed unit - Right side only. The companion Front Left (Driver Side) strut is KONI 8741-1338LSPOR, sold separately. Two front struts (one left, one right) are required for a complete front axle installation.
• This is a COMPLETE FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY - not a cartridge or insert. The 8741-1338RSPOR replaces the entire OEM front strut on the Z3 as a direct bolt-on unit at the front right position.
• Does NOT fit the BMW Z3 M Roadster or Z3 M Coupe (S52/S54 powered). The M Roadster and M Coupe use a wider front track with different front strut geometry that is not compatible with this strut. If your Z3 has an S52 or S54 engine, this part does not apply. Verify your Z3's engine and suspension specification before ordering.
• Fits all four-cylinder and six-cylinder Z3 variants (1.9, 2.3, 2.5, 2.8, 3.0) in Roadster and Coupe body styles across the full 1996-2002 production run. Includes vehicles fitted with the M Technik sport suspension package.
• The external rebound adjustment knob at the top of the strut allows damping to be tuned on-car once installed, without removing the strut from the vehicle.
• Compatible with OEM spring rates and performance lowering springs up to 35 mm (approximately 1.4 in) of drop.

Product Description

The KONI 8741-1338RSPOR is the Front Right (Passenger Side) complete MacPherson strut from KONI's Sport 8741 Series, engineered for the BMW Z3 (E36/7 Roadster and E36/8 Coupe) across all four-cylinder and six-cylinder variants - the 1.9, 2.5i, 2.8, and 3.0i - from the 1996 through 2002 model years, including M Technik-equipped examples. This is a complete strut assembly, not a cartridge or insert, and replaces the entire OEM front right strut as a direct bolt-on unit. The companion left front strut is KONI 8741-1338LSPOR. An important exclusion: the Z3 M Roadster and Z3 M Coupe (S52/S54 powered) use a different front track width and strut geometry and are not covered by this part number.

The 8741 Series external rebound knob allows approximately 100% of damping range to be set on-car without removing the strut - from a soft, comfortable roadster touring setting to a firm autocross or track-oriented tune.
