Fitment Notes

• Rear shock absorber - position is Rear Left and Rear Right. Sold individually (per shock); two units are required for a complete rear axle replacement set.
• Fits W210 E-Class sedan variants only. Does not fit the W210 wagon (estate) body style, which uses different rear shock mounting dimensions.
• Does not fit any W210 model equipped with 4Matic all-wheel drive - the 4Matic variants use a different rear suspension configuration that is not compatible with this unit.
• Does not fit W210 models equipped with Airmatic electronically controlled air suspension (optional on E55 AMG). Verify your vehicle's suspension type before ordering - standard coil-spring suspension is required.
• The E55 AMG Sedan (1999-2002) is supported only in standard suspension configuration. W210 E55 AMGs equipped with optional Airmatic must use the Airmatic-specific shock absorber.
• The E420 was only sold in 1995 and 1997 in the North American market; there was no 1996 E420. Both years are supported.
• Compatible with OEM spring rates and performance lowering springs up to 35 mm (approximately 1.4 in) of drop. Avantgarde-equipped W210 models require the KONI Sport (this part number) - standard suspension equivalents are not appropriate for the Avantgarde sport suspension tune.

The KONI 8041-1318Sport is a yellow-painted, externally adjustable rear shock absorber from KONI's Sport 8041 Series, engineered for the 1995-2002 Mercedes-Benz E-Class W210 sedan in all supported RWD powertrains - covering the E300 diesel and turbodiesel, the E320, the E420 (1995 and 1997), the E430, and the E55 AMG in standard suspension configuration. The W210 platform uses a sophisticated rear multi-link suspension, and this shock is specifically calibrated for that geometry and spring rate range to deliver improved rear body roll resistance, reduced pitch, and sharper rear axle response compared to OEM or worn replacement dampers.
