• This is a strut INSERT/CARTRIDGE, not a complete strut assembly. The 8641-1210Sport slides inside the existing OEM front MacPherson strut housing of the E30 M3. The original strut housing is retained on the vehicle; only the internal damper cartridge is replaced. Strut disassembly using a spring compressor is required for installation.
• The E30 M3 (E254) uses a dedicated front strut housing that differs from the standard E30 3 Series (318i/325i/325e) strut - this part number is specific to the M3's strut housing dimensions and is not interchangeable with the inserts used in the standard E30 lineup.
