Product Description

The Koni 8240-1076SPORT Sport Series shock absorber is engineered for the 1989-1995 BMW E34 5-Series in rear-wheel-drive sedan and Touring (wagon) configurations, covering the 525i, 530i, 535i, and 540i variants. Part of Koni's iconic yellow Sport line, this shock features externally adjustable rebound damping that allows fine-tuning of compression and rebound characteristics via a simple knob -- no disassembly required. The twin-tube gas-charged design delivers sharper steering response, reduced body roll, and limited body movement under braking and acceleration while preserving an acceptable level of street comfort.

Koni Sport shocks are the preferred damper choice when running performance lowering springs, accommodating up to 40mm of factory lowering, while also performing exceptionally at stock ride height. Important fitment exclusions: this shock does NOT fit M5 models, the 1995 540i M-Sport (uses M5-derived EDC suspension), the 525iX AWD variant, or any model equipped with the factory EDC Electronic Damper Control option.
