• CRITICAL: For use ONLY on vehicles with M14 x 22mm top nut - if your vehicle has an M12 x 19mm top nut, use KONI 8641 1157SPORT instead
• This is a strut INSERT (cartridge) - fits inside the OEM strut housing; does not replace or include the strut housing
• Does NOT fit M-Technik suspension variants on E34 or E32

The KONI 8641 1224SPORT is a Sport (Yellow) series front strut insert for BMW 5 Series E34 and 7 Series E32 models built between 1990 and 1995. It fits inside the existing OEM strut housing, making it a cost-effective upgrade that delivers meaningful improvements in body control, cornering stability, and steering response over worn or OEM-valved inserts. The external adjustment knob allows rebound damping to be tuned while the strut remains on the car, covering the full range from a comfortable daily setting to a firm performance setup.

Before ordering, it is critical to verify the top nut size on your strut housing. This insert is designed exclusively for M14 x 22mm top nuts - vehicles with M12 x 19mm top nuts require the alternate KONI 8641 1157SPORT. This insert does not fit M-Technik, EDC, or self-leveling suspension variants. It supports up to 40mm of lowering when paired with compatible aftermarket springs. Install in pairs on the front axle and reuse OEM bump stops and dust boots.
