The KONI 8040-1402SPORT Rear Sport Shock is engineered for drivers seeking improved handling performance and precision from their Audi's rear suspension. Part of KONI's Sport (Yellow) series, this adjustable shock absorber allows damping levels to be tailored for driver preference, enhancing cornering grip, reducing body-roll, and delivering a more responsive road feel compared to standard OEM shocks. The gas-charged twin-tube design provides consistent rebound control while maintaining a comfortable ride during everyday driving.

This rear shock fits a wide range of Audi applications, including 2008-2016 A4 and Q5 models, 2008-2012 A5 and S5 variants, 2011-2016 A6 platforms, 2008-2012 S4, and 2012-2018 A7 Sportback, all with compatible suspension setups. It is compatible with OEM and moderate lowering springs up to approximately 35 mm, though vehicles with air suspension or electronically adjustable damping systems should use application-specific parts. Sold individually, two shocks are required for a complete rear axle install. Professional installation and alignment are recommended to optimize handling performance.
