Product Description

The KONI 8041 1279SP1 is a Sport (Yellow) series rear shock absorber with integrated spring perch, purpose-built for the 2000-2009 Honda S2000 (AP1 and AP2). As one of the most track-capable roadsters Honda ever produced, the S2000 benefits significantly from KONI's externally rebound-adjustable twin-tube construction - delivering improved body control, reduced roll, and sharper cornering over the factory damper without sacrificing everyday drivability. The external adjustment knob allows damping to be tuned in seconds without removing the shock, making it easy to switch between street and track settings.

The included spring perch makes this shock directly compatible with aftermarket coilover springs, supporting up to 40mm of lowering within its travel range. The OEM lower spring seat must be retained and reused during installation - it is not replaced by this unit. Install in pairs on the rear axle, and reuse OEM bump stops and dust boots.
