Product Description

The KONI 8745-1263 Special Active front strut is a direct-fit replacement for the 2009-2017 Volkswagen Tiguan (5N) in all trim levels and both FWD and 4Motion AWD configurations. It uses KONI's patented Frequency Selective Damping (FSD) technology to automatically adjust damping force in real time based on road input -- firming up for large body movements and cornering loads, then softening over rough surfaces, expansion joints, and low-frequency inputs. No control boxes, wiring, or additional programming are required.

Built on the twin-tube low-pressure gas platform, the 8745-1263 delivers a balance of daily comfort and responsive handling that passive shocks cannot match, and does so at significantly lower cost than factory electronic damping systems. The strut is compatible with OE ride heights and with aftermarket lowering springs. Sold individually -- two required to complete the front axle.
