Product Description

The KONI 8745 1110R is a Special Active front right McPherson strut built for Mazda 3, Mazda 5, Ford Focus C-Max, Ford Focus II ST, and Volvo C30/S40/V50 models that share the Ford C1 platform. It uses KONI's patented Frequency Selective Damping technology - a fully mechanical, electronics-free system that automatically adapts damping force based on road input frequency. At low frequency inputs (body roll, cornering, braking), it firms up for confident control. At high frequency inputs (road imperfections, expansion joints), it softens for improved ride comfort. No sensors, no modules, no calibration required.

This strut installs directly in place of the OEM unit using stock springs and hardware, maintaining factory ride height. It must be installed in pairs on the same axle and is designed exclusively for use with original-equipment springs. As a front right unit, the matching left side (8745 1110L) is sold separately. Ideal for daily drivers who want a meaningful suspension upgrade without the complexity or cost of an electronic damping system.
