Fitment Notes

• Front strut (complete assembly) - position is Front Left and Front Right. Left and right units are identical (non-handed). Sold individually (per strut); two units are required for a complete front axle replacement.
• This is a COMPLETE FRONT STRUT ASSEMBLY - not a strut cartridge or insert. The 87-2657 replaces the entire OEM front strut on the Sprinter 3500 as a direct bolt-on unit.
• Fits the Sprinter 3500 (heavy-duty, higher GVWR, dual rear wheel / DRW) variant only. The Sprinter 2500 uses a different KONI part number (87-2656). Verify your van's GVWR and rear wheel configuration before ordering.
• Does not fit 4WD / 4x4 Sprinter variants. The 4x4 Sprinter uses different front suspension components and requires a separate KONI part number (87-2661). Confirm your van is RWD (2WD / 4x2) before ordering.
• Covers all three North American Sprinter 3500 nameplate variants across the NCV3 (W906) and W907 platform generations: the Dodge Sprinter 3500 (2007-2009), Freightliner Sprinter 3500 (2007-2018), and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 / 3500XD (2010-2023).
• This strut uses internal (compress-to-adjust) rebound adjustment - the strut must be removed from the vehicle and compressed to change the rebound setting. Product Description

The KONI 87-2657 is a red-painted, internally adjustable front strut from KONI's Special 87 Series, engineered as a complete front strut replacement for the NCV3 (W906) and W907 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 and 3500XD - sold in the North American market under three nameplates: the Dodge Sprinter 3500 (2007-2009), Freightliner Sprinter 3500 (2007-2018), and Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500/3500XD (2010-2023). It covers only the 3500 dual-rear-wheel (DRW), higher-GVWR variant in RWD (2WD/4x2) configuration - the 2500 requires a different part (87-2656), and the 4x4 variants require 87-2661. As a complete strut assembly, it replaces the entire OEM front strut as a direct bolt-on unit, with no strut housing modification or cartridge extraction required.

The 87 Series design features internal compress-to-adjust rebound damping: the strut is removed from the vehicle and compressed to set the desired rebound level before installation.
