Product Description

The King MB787AM is a standard-size crankshaft main bearing set engineered for Toyota's M-series inline-six engines, including the 2.8L 5M-E and 5M-GE and the 3.0L 7M-GE and 7M-GTE. These engines powered the Celica Supra, Supra MkIII, and Cressida from the early 1980s through 1992, making this set a direct solution for rebuilds and high-mileage refreshes on those platforms.

Part of King's AM-Series, the bearings use a bi-metal construction with an aluminum-based alloy lining equivalent to SAE-783, rated for low to medium load engines. The alloy provides strong embeddability that captures debris and protects the crankshaft journals from scoring, while the lead-free composition meets modern environmental and safety standards.

Every shell is produced using King's Bull's Eye Tolerance technology, holding wall thickness to within plus or minus 0.0001 inch so installed clearances fall consistently in spec without sorting or mixing shells. The set is supplied in standard size for a stock-clearance crankshaft; King also offers this set in 0.25, 0.50, 0.75, and 1.00 mm undersizes for reground cranks, sold separately.
