Vehicle Fitment

  • 2019-2024 Ford Ranger Raptor (P703 Platform, 2.3L EcoBoost I4 Turbo, 4WD)

Fitment Notes

  • 25700-430A covers the rear position only and is sold as a set of 2 rear coilover shocks. The companion front 2.5" IBP coilover for the 2019-2024 Ranger Raptor is King part number 25700-429A.
  • 100% bolt-on installation - no cutting, welding, or frame modification required.
  • Designed for factory (stock) ride height as the baseline. Provides adjustable ride height via the threaded coilover sleeve.
  • Finned external reservoir with Wide Range Compression Adjuster is included as the standard configuration.
  • Fully rebuildable, serviceable, and re-valveable at authorized King Shocks service centers.
  • Does not fit the standard Ford Ranger (non-Raptor). Does not fit the F-150 Raptor - that application uses King's 3.0" body rear shocks.

Features

  • King's patented 2.5" Internal Bypass (IBP) design delivers both velocity-sensitive and position-sensitive damping in a single monotube shock body - providing a compliant, controlled ride in normal travel and a progressive, firm hydraulic bump stop as the shock approaches full compression, eliminating harsh bottom-out without a separate external bump stop.
  • Full-diameter monotube piston and full-size valve stack provide maximum damping control and precise, linear response - a hallmark advantage of King's monotube architecture over twin-tube designs.
  • External finned remote reservoirs, extruded from hard-anodized 6063 aluminum, dramatically increase oil and nitrogen gas capacity for accelerated heat dissipation and sustained damping performance during extended high-speed or off-road use.
  • King's Wide Range Compression Adjuster comes standard and provides 20 precise clicks of compression damping adjustment, allowing easy on-the-fly tuning from a softer street setting to a firmer off-road calibration without tools.
  • All-new threaded end cap design with a Schrader valve protective cap allows for simple nitrogen charging and seal access without disassembly of the full shock body.
  • Hard-chromed, micro-polished 3/4" shaft with a minimum tensile strength of 100,000 psi and a 6 RA surface finish ensures exceptional seal longevity and corrosion resistance in harsh terrain conditions.
  • Heat-treated 6061 aluminum alloy piston with King's proprietary port configurations delivers the precise, controlled damping response synonymous with King's acclaimed ride quality.
  • Rulon composite wear bands maintain piston alignment under sustained side-load and high-frequency impact, protecting seals and maintaining consistent damping feel throughout the shock's service life.
  • Pinch bolt coil adjuster nut provides superior clamping force to lock ride height and spring preload adjustments securely without deforming or crushing the shock body threads.
  • Manufactured from the same high-quality materials and machined to the same precise tolerances as King's top-of-the-line Pure Race series shocks - bringing race-proven technology to a direct bolt-on OEM upgrade.
  • Extensively tested on King's electro-magnetic shock dynamometer and validated through real-world punishing off-road testing to develop the optimal damping curves and spring rates specifically for the Ranger Raptor's rear suspension geometry and weight distribution.

Product Description

The King Shocks 25700-430A is a pair of 2.5" OEM Performance Series rear IBP (Internal Bypass) coilover shocks engineered specifically for the 2019-2024 Ford Ranger Raptor. Developed through King's full R&D process - including dynamometer validation and real-world testing on the Ranger Raptor platform - this rear coilover set is a 100% bolt-on upgrade that replaces the factory rear suspension with a race-derived, fully adjustable system. It is designed to work in conjunction with the companion front set, King part number 25700-429A, to deliver a complete and cohesive suspension upgrade across the Ranger Raptor's four corners. The 25700-430A is purpose-built for the Ranger Raptor's unique rear geometry and load characteristics, tuned specifically for this platform rather than adapted from a generic shock design.

The defining technology of the 25700-430A is King's patented Internal Bypass (IBP) design. Unlike a conventional monotube shock that relies on a single piston and valve stack, the IBP shock adds a secondary bypass piston that creates position-sensitive damping zones within the shock travel. In the normal range of travel, the shock provides a compliant, low-resistance ride for everyday driving and moderate off-road terrain. As the shock approaches full compression, the bypass circuit closes and the damping dramatically increases, creating a hydraulic bump stop effect that arrests suspension travel and prevents harsh bottom-out without a separate external bumpstop. This gives the Ranger Raptor progressive, tunable control across the full range of suspension travel - from slow washboard to high-speed desert whoops.

The standard configuration of the 25700-430A includes external finned remote reservoirs made from hard-anodized 6063 aluminum, which dramatically expand fluid and nitrogen capacity beyond what the shock body alone can hold - reducing operating pressure and extending consistent damping performance even during extended hard use. The included 20-click Wide Range Compression Adjuster allows the driver to tune compression damping by hand without tools, dialing the rear end from a softer, comfortable on-road feel to a firmer, high-speed off-road calibration. Like all King OEM Performance products, the 25700-430A is fully rebuildable, revalveable, and respring-able at authorized King service centers - making it a long-term investment that can evolve with the vehicle build over time.
