Fitment Notes

• Compatible with all 2007-2018 Silverado 1500 and Sierra 1500 pickup truck configurations - this spans both the GMT900 generation (2007-2013) and the K2XX generation (2014-2018) of the 1500 half-ton pickup platform.
• Pickup truck body style only. This part will NOT fit Tahoe, Suburban, Yukon, Avalanche, or any other SUV platform that shares the 1500 engine and drivetrain - the SUV rear suspension geometry is different and requires a separate application. Verify your vehicle is a pickup truck before ordering.
• Does not fit the 2019+ Silverado/Sierra 1500 (T1XX platform), which uses a redesigned rear suspension.
• This is the standard 25001-154 without a compression adjuster - damping is fixed at King's factory-tuned optimal setting for this application. The King Shocks 25001-154 is a pair of 2.5" OEM Performance Series smooth body rear shocks with piggyback reservoirs for the 2007-2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks (2WD and 4WD). The kit allows up to 1.5" of additional rear lift and up to 15% more rear wheel travel in a 100% bolt-on installation. Pickup truck body only - does not fit Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, or other SUV platforms. This is the standard non-adjustable damping version; King Shocks 25001-154A adds a 16-position compression adjuster knob.

The factory Silverado 1500 rear shock is engineered primarily for cost and noise suppression - a twin-tube or mono-tube design with limited fluid volume and modest heat capacity that performs acceptably on the highway but rapidly degrades under sustained off-road or towing use as the fluid heats and the damping character softens. King's 25001-154 replaces this with a 2.5" smooth body shock and piggyback reservoir that together provide significantly more fluid volume and heat dissipation than the factory unit, maintaining consistent damping performance through conditions that would cause a factory shock to fade.
