The XP Series uses King's pMaxBlack tri-metal structure - 24% harder than conventional race bearings, rated at up to 10,200 PSI load capacity - making it the performance and race-grade upgrade over OE-replacement SI or AM Series bearings for builds using forged steel crankshafts or sustained high-output applications.

As a standard-size set, the MB5280XP fits 4.6L and 5.4L SOHC crankshafts at factory main journal diameter. Thrust washers are included in the set, covering all components needed for a complete main bearing service in one purchase. This set is specific to the 2-valve and 3-valve SOHC Modular engines and does not fit the 4-valve DOHC variants.
