Product Description

The K&N 33-2773 is a direct-fit, high-flow replacement air filter for the first-generation Porsche Boxster (986), covering the 2.5L base model (1996-1999), the 2.7L base (1999-2004), and the 3.2L Boxster S (1999-2004). All 986-platform Boxsters share the same mid-engine airbox configuration, making this a single filter solution for the entire 986 lineup. It installs directly into the factory airbox with no cutting, drilling, or modifications - and includes a sealing grease packet for proper airbox lip sealing during reassembly.

The multi-layer oiled cotton gauze construction delivers significantly greater airflow than a standard paper element while maintaining effective filtration for the flat-six engine. Designed to be cleaned and re-oiled every 75,000 miles rather than replaced, it is a long-term, cost-effective upgrade that is emissions legal in all 50 U.S. states and will not void the manufacturer's warranty.
