The K&N 100-8591 is a large carbon fiber sprint car air box top and filter assembly designed for open-wheel and sprint car racing applications using multi-Siamese injection stacks. Built from ultra-lightweight carbon fiber, it pairs high structural rigidity with a low weight profile, making it a competitive upgrade over traditional fiberglass or steel alternatives. The cotton gauze filter media provides the high airflow capacity needed to support boosted induction setups flowing up to 2,700 CFM.

This unit is the top filter assembly only and requires a compatible base plate - such as the K&N 100-8590 - to complete the airbox system. Installation is straightforward: position the base over your injection stacks, then slide this top assembly into place and secure it with spring clip clamps for a leak-free seal. As with all K&N filters, the media is fully washable and reusable, offering long-term value for racers who service their equipment regularly.
