The K&N 69-6036TC Typhoon Cold Air Intake System is a mandrel-bent aluminum intake designed for the 2021-2025 Mazda 3 2.5 Turbo in both sedan and hatchback configurations, covering all turbo trims including Turbo, Turbo Premium Plus, and Carbon Turbo. This system replaces the factory air filter and intake tube with a high-flow aluminum tube paired with an oversized K&N oiled cotton conical air filter, delivering a dyno-tested gain of 7.19 horsepower at 4,397 RPM. The Typhoon series is engineered to maximize airflow volume to the engine for improved throttle response, acceleration, and overall performance from the Mazda 2.5L Skyactiv-G turbocharged engine.

The silver polished aluminum tube provides a clean, high-end appearance in the engine bay, while the K&N High-Flow Air Filter is washable and reusable with a 100,000-mile service interval under normal highway driving conditions. Installation is a straightforward process using simple hand tools, typically completed in 90 minutes or less. This intake is not CARB-legal and is not available for sale or use in California on pollution-controlled vehicles.
