Fitment Notes

• Compatible with the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si equipped with the 1.6L VTEC four-cylinder (B16A2) engine only. Does not fit the Civic DX, LX, EX, HX, or GX - those trims use different intake configurations. See Injen RD1555BLK or IS1555BLK for the Civic EX/EL/HX.
• No tune required. The IS1560BLK is designed to maintain safe air/fuel ratios throughout the powerband using the stock ECU calibration.
• CARB Exempt - CARB Executive Order D-476-2. Legal for use on vehicles registered in California and all other CARB-compliant states.
• This intake is also available in a polished aluminum finish - see Injen IS1560P for that option.
• Optional Hydroshield (black): Part #1033BLK - fits filter X-1014. Optional Hydroshield (red): Part #1033RED - recommended for use in wet or dusty driving conditions.

Product Description

The Injen IS1560BLK is an IS Series short ram intake system engineered specifically for the 1999-2000 Honda Civic Si with the 1.6L VTEC four-cylinder (B16A2) engine. It is a direct bolt-on replacement for the factory airbox and intake ducting, designed to deliver real-world power gains across the entire RPM range while maintaining safe air/fuel ratios with no tune required. The IS1560BLK is the laser black wrinkle powdercoat version; owners who prefer a mirror finish should see the IS1560P.

The IS Series is Injen's traditional underhood intake line - it installs in the factory airbox location rather than routing the filter to a remote low-mounted position. This preserves the short, efficient intake path that benefits a high-revving naturally aspirated VTEC engine while keeping the filter well away from wheel wells and standing water. The mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tube replaces the restrictive factory corrugated plastic ducting with a single, smooth uninterrupted path - maximizing airflow velocity into the throttle body at every RPM. The SuperNano-Web Dry filter provides greater filtration surface area and lower restriction than the OEM paper element, is cleanable with compressed air, and never requires re-oiling.

The laser black wrinkle powdercoat finish is highly durable and heat-resistant - it maintains its appearance over years of underhood exposure without polishing maintenance. For owners who drive in wet conditions, the optional Hydroshields (Part #1033BLK or #1033RED) are available to protect the filter from water ingestion.
