Fitment Notes

• Compatible with the V6-3.0L Honda Accord (J30A1) and V6-3.2L Acura TL (J32A2/J32A3) engines only. Does not fit the 4-cylinder Accord models.
• No tune required. The IS1660BLK is designed to maintain safe air/fuel ratios throughout the powerband using the stock ECU calibration.
• CARB Exempt - CARB Executive Order D-476-5. For the Acura TL application, CARB exemption applies to the 2002 model year only. The 2003 Acura TL is not covered under this EO and is not legal for use on vehicles registered in California or other CARB-compliant states.
• This intake is also available in a polished aluminum finish - see Injen IS1660P for that option.
• Optional Hydroshield (black): Part #1033BLK - fits filter X-1014. Optional Hydroshield (red): Part #1033RED - recommended for wet or dusty driving conditions.

Product Description

The Injen IS1660BLK is an IS Series short ram intake system engineered specifically for the 1998-2002 Honda Accord V6 3.0L and the 2002-2003 Acura TL V6 3.2L. It delivers dyno-proven gains of up to 11 horsepower and 11 lb-ft of torque with no tune required, making it a straightforward and proven bolt-on upgrade for both platforms. The IS1660BLK is the laser black wrinkle powdercoat version; the polished aluminum IS1660P is also available for owners who prefer a mirror finish.

The IS Series is Injen's traditional underhood intake line - it installs directly in the factory airbox position rather than routing a long pipe down to a low-mounted cold air location. The mandrel-bent 6061-T6 aluminum tube replaces the factory restrictive plastic ducting with a single smooth, uninterrupted airflow path, maximizing velocity into the V6's throttle body at all RPMs. The SuperNano-Web Dry filter provides greater surface area and lower restriction than the OEM paper element, is cleanable with compressed air, and never requires re-oiling - making it a genuinely low-maintenance upgrade. The kit includes vacuum hose and step hose hardware specific to these applications, ensuring a complete, tight installation.

The laser black wrinkle powdercoat finish is heat-resistant and highly durable, maintaining its appearance over years of underhood exposure. For owners who drive in wet conditions, the optional Hydroshields (Part #1033BLK or #1033RED) are available to protect the filter from water ingestion. Installation is bolt-on to the factory airbox location using all included hardware - no permanent modifications required.
