Fitment Notes

• For non-KDSS vehicles, the included sway bar relocation bracket must be installed to clear the larger 2.5" coilover body

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 58646 is a V.S. 2.5 Series internal reservoir front coilover kit engineered for the 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner, 2010-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser, and 2010-2023 Lexus GX460 - all trims, including KDSS-equipped models. The "VS" designation confirms the shock length and damping tune were developed specifically for this platform's front suspension geometry and weight, rather than adapted from a generic solution. As a standard travel coilover, the 58646 is fully compatible with the vehicle's OEM factory upper control arms - making it an ideal entry-level performance coilover upgrade that delivers a significant step up from the factory struts without the additional investment of aftermarket UCAs. This distinguishes it from ICON's 58647 and 58747 extended travel variants, which require aftermarket UCAs to achieve their additional wheel travel.

The 2.5" shock body provides substantially more internal volume and piston area than the factory struts, enabling better heat management and fade resistance during trail use. For KDSS-equipped 4Runners, this kit is fully compatible - the included front sway bar relocation brackets simply are not installed on KDSS vehicles, as the KDSS system handles sway bar function independently. On non-KDSS vehicles, the sway bar relocation bracket must be installed to provide clearance for the larger 2.5" coilover body. A spanner wrench is not included and must be purchased separately (ICON part #198000). A front end alignment is required after installation and after any ride height adjustments. All fasteners require retorquing after the first 100 miles.
