Vehicle Fitment

  • 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra (SR, SR5, Limited, Platinum, 1794 Edition, TRD Pro | Regular Cab, Double Cab, CrewMax | 4.0L V6, 4.6L V8, 5.7L V8 | 2WD RWD & 4WD)

Fitment Notes

  • Does not fit the 2022-2025 Toyota Tundra. The 3rd-generation Tundra (2022+) uses a completely redesigned suspension platform requiring ICON's dedicated new-generation kits.
  • Front coilover is height adjustable from 1-3" over stock. Coilover heights are based on a stock-equipped vehicle.
  • Rear shocks support 0-1.5" of rear lift. No rear leaf spring component is included in this Stage 1 kit - the rear ride height is adjusted only by the shock absorber.
  • Factory upper control arms will not align properly above 2.5" of front lift. An aftermarket UCA is strongly recommended for lifts above 2.5" to maintain proper caster and camber geometry.
  • Trimming is required to properly fit the recommended 35" x 12.50" tire size.
  • A Bump Stop Spacer Kit is available separately if additional coilover threads are needed beyond the maximum recommendation.
  • Ships in multiple boxes.
  • All shocks are fully serviceable.
  • OEM wheels and tires are compatible with this system.

Features

  • 2.5 Series front coilovers with internal reservoir provide improved damping consistency and heat management over standard monotube designs, maintaining performance during extended off-road use
  • Vehicle-specifically tuned front coilover valving is engineered for the Tundra platform's weight, wheelbase, and geometry - not a generic tune applied across multiple vehicles
  • Adjustable lift height from 1-3" allows the installer to dial in the exact ride height for desired wheel and tire fitment without being locked into a fixed lift
  • 6061 aircraft-grade aluminum CNC machined coilover components deliver exceptional strength-to-weight ratio and long-term corrosion resistance
  • CAD-plated 2.5" coilover body with 7/8" shaft resists corrosion and surface pitting in wet and off-road environments
  • FK Rod End bearings in the coilover provide extended longevity, minimal deflection, and smooth articulation throughout the range of suspension travel
  • High-strength alloy CNC machined lower bar pin provides a precision, durable lower mount for the coilover assembly
  • 2.0 VS Aluminum Series rear shocks are vehicle-specifically tuned to match and balance the front coilover damping for a cohesive, controlled ride quality front to rear
  • 2.0 Series rear shocks feature a 5/8" chrome-plated polished nitro steel shaft that resists corrosion and surface wear over time
  • 100% bolt-on system - no drilling, cutting, or welding required for installation
  • 100% rebuildable and revalveable front and rear shocks for long-term serviceability
  • Made in the USA

Product Description

The ICON K53021 is a Stage 1 complete suspension system for the 2007-2021 Toyota Tundra, providing an entry-level but thoroughly engineered upgrade for both 2WD and 4WD trucks across the entire second-generation Tundra lineup. As ICON's foundational Tundra package, it pairs 2.5 Series internal reservoir front coilovers with 2.0 VS Aluminum Series rear shocks - each vehicle-specifically tuned for the Tundra's weight, geometry, and driving demands. The result is a matched front-to-rear damping system that delivers noticeably improved ride quality over stock, better body motion control, and the flexibility to run taller wheels and tires.

The front coilover kit (Part #58650) is the centerpiece of the K53021. Built on ICON's 2.5 Series platform with an internal reservoir, the coilovers provide improved heat management over standard non-reservoir designs, which is especially valuable during sustained off-road use where repeated damper strokes would otherwise heat up and fade a conventional shock. The adjustable height range of 1-3" allows the installer to fine-tune front ride height for the desired stance and tire fitment. The 6061 aluminum construction, FK Rod End bearings, and CAD-plated shock body deliver the durability and precision expected from a purpose-built performance suspension component. Note that factory upper control arms begin to show alignment limitations above 2.5" of lift - ICON recommends an aftermarket UCA for lifts above this threshold to maintain proper caster and even tire wear.

The rear of the system is handled by ICON's 2.0 VS Aluminum Series shocks (Part #56506), which are tuned specifically for the Tundra platform and support up to 1.5" of rear lift. These shocks are not a generic unit - their valving is matched to complement the front coilover tune, giving the Tundra a balanced, cohesive ride quality from bumper to bumper. The Stage 1 kit does not include a rear leaf spring component; owners looking to add rear lift height through spring replacement should consider ICON's Stage 2 system or a dedicated add-a-leaf kit. The K53021 is a 100% bolt-on package - no cutting or welding required - and is compatible with factory wheels and tires out of the box.
