Vehicle Fitment

  • 2003-2009 Toyota 4Runner (4th Generation, All Trims)
  • 2010-2024 Toyota 4Runner (5th Generation, All Trims)
  • 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser (All Trims)
  • 2008-2021 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series (All Trims)
  • 2003-2009 Lexus GX470 (All Trims)
  • 2010-2023 Lexus GX460 (All Trims)

Fitment Notes

  • Direct bolt-in replacement for factory rear lower links on all supported platforms - no drilling, cutting, or welding required for installation
  • Adjustable arm length accommodates various lift heights and allows on-vehicle pinion angle correction - begin at factory stock length and adjust as needed
  • Multi-durometer bushings are maintenance-free - no periodic greasing required for the life of the bushings
  • Integrated OEM emergency brake bracket mount retains factory e-brake routing without modification
  • All fasteners must be retorqued after the first 100 miles of driving and periodically thereafter
  • Sold as a kit - includes one pair (driver side and passenger side arms)

Features

  • CNC machined and notched 1026 DOM (Drawn Over Mandrel) tubular steel construction provides superior strength and consistent wall thickness - welded in-house at ICON for precise, quality-controlled fabrication
  • PTFE-lined FK JM16T rod ends at the frame end deliver increased suspension articulation and reduced deflection while enabling on-vehicle arm length adjustment for lift height and pinion angle tuning
  • Multi-durometer bushing at the axle end allows maximum angularity for full suspension articulation while isolating noise and vibration - maintenance-free for the life of the bushing with no greasing required
  • Tangent lower link barrel design allows the arm body to slide more easily over rocks and trail obstacles during articulation, reducing the risk of trail hang-ups compared to conventional straight-sided link designs
  • Offset front pivot geometry improves roll steer characteristics - reducing unwanted rear axle steer under suspension travel for more predictable handling both on- and off-road
  • Integrated OEM emergency brake bracket mount preserves factory e-brake cable routing without additional fabrication or modification
  • On-vehicle arm length adjustment using ICON's Double Adjuster System allows fast, precise rear axle centering and pinion angle correction after lift installation or ride height changes - no disassembly required
  • Validated through ICON's proprietary ICON1K real-world test cycle - thousands of miles of extreme off-road abuse prior to production release
  • Made in the USA - machined and welded in-house at ICON Vehicle Dynamics
  • Covered by ICON's Limited Lifetime Warranty on fabricated components

Product Description

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 54000T is a tubular steel rear lower trailing arm kit engineered as a direct bolt-in replacement for the factory rear lower links on the 2003-2024 Toyota 4Runner, 2007-2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser, 2008-2021 Toyota Land Cruiser 200 Series, and 2003-2023 Lexus GX (GX470 and GX460). Where the 54000T differs from ICON's billet aluminum 54000 is in its construction - the 54000T uses CNC machined and notched 1026 DOM tubular steel, which provides high strength and impact resistance for extreme off-road use, and is welded in-house at ICON's facility in Riverside, California. The steel construction also enables two unique geometry features not possible with a straight billet extrusion: the tangent lower link barrel profile, which reduces the likelihood of the arm body catching on rocks and trail obstacles during suspension travel, and the offset front pivot geometry, which improves roll steer characteristics for more predictable rear axle behavior under suspension compression and droop.

At the frame end, PTFE-lined FK JM16T rod ends provide the pivot point for arm length adjustment and suspension articulation. These rod ends allow on-vehicle arm length changes using ICON's Double Adjuster System - critical for centering the rear axle after a suspension lift and for adjusting pinion angle to reduce driveline vibration. At the axle end, multi-durometer bushings provide maximum angularity for full articulation while damping noise and vibration from reaching the cabin. Unlike the greaseable polyurethane bushings used in the 54000 billet version, the 54000T's multi-durometer bushings are fully maintenance-free - requiring no greasing for the life of the bushing. An integrated OEM-style emergency brake bracket mount preserves factory cable routing without requiring any additional fabrication.

Every 54000T kit is validated through ICON's ICON1K test cycle - a real-world abuse test covering thousands of miles of extreme off-road terrain before the design is approved for production. The kit is sold as a pair, includes all installation hardware, and installs using factory mounting locations on the frame and axle housing. All fasteners must be retorqued after the first 100 miles of driving and periodically thereafter to ensure proper seating under load.
