Product Description

The ICON 76551RD is the remote reservoir version of ICON's V.S. 2.0 HD Series front shock for the 2011-2026 Chevrolet Silverado 2500/3500 HD and GMC Sierra 2500/3500 HD. It shares the same heavy-duty foundation as the internal reservoir 76551 - hard-anodized 6061 aluminum cylinders with increased wall thickness, taller DU bearings for superior pull-apart and side load strength, a press-in bonded rubber bar pin upper assembly, and a forged aluminum lower clevis - but adds a remote reservoir for meaningfully increased shock oil volume and heat dissipation. This prevents the overheating and cavitation that can lead to damper fade during extended hard use, making the 76551RD the better choice for drivers who tow heavy, haul frequently, or spend significant time off-road.

Like the 76551, the extended travel length requires compatible aftermarket upper control arms - OEM UCAs cannot work with this shock's length. The one-piece linear/digressive piston design uses vehicle-specific valving tuned by ICON engineers for the GM HD platform's unique spring rates and weight characteristics. These shocks are sold individually, so a quantity of 2 must be ordered per vehicle. ZR2 and AT4X submodels are limited to a 0-2" front lift range. All shocks are 100% rebuildable and re-tunable for long-term serviceability.
