Fitment Notes

• Designed for use with 1-3" of rear lift; not intended for stock ride height applications
• Does NOT fit 2019+ Ram 1500 new-generation (DT platform) - the upper shock mounting design changed significantly and requires a different shock absorber
• Does NOT fit Ram 1500 models equipped with factory OE air suspension
• Compatible with both coil spring and aftermarket leaf spring rear suspension configurations within the 1-3" lift range
• Sold individually - one shock per order; two shocks required for a complete rear replacement
• For extreme off-road use, ICON recommends upgrading to the V.S. 2.5 Series shock for additional damping capability

The ICON Vehicle Dynamics 216524 is a 2.0 VS IR (Vehicle Specific, Internal Reservoir) rear monotube shock absorber engineered specifically for the 2009-2018 Ram 1500 and the 2019-2024 Ram 1500 Classic - both 2WD and 4WD - running 1 to 3 inches of rear lift. The "VS" designation means ICON engineers developed the valving tune for this exact platform rather than applying a generic one-size-fits-all calibration, resulting in a rear damping profile that complements the Ram 1500's rear coil-spring suspension and payload characteristics. The internal reservoir extends the shock's fluid capacity and thermal headroom, preventing fade during repeated off-road compressions or hard trail runs where lesser shocks begin to lose control.
