Product Description

The HKS 43005-AZ001 Superfire Racing Coil Pro is a reinforced ignition system upgrade for the 13B-REW-powered Mazda RX-7 FD3S, built to address the factory ignition system's tendency to degrade and misfire at high rpm as the car ages. The kit replaces the stock wasted-spark simultaneous ignition with an independent setup, using domestically manufactured coils mounted further from heat sources than the factory position to extend service life under sustained hard driving.

The mounting bracket was developed specifically to withstand the vibration characteristics of a rotary engine and has been third-party vibration-tested for safety, with an anodized finish for corrosion resistance. Coil power draws directly from the battery through a dedicated relay, and optimized dwell time is intended to improve combustion - HKS reports cleaner exhaust output and improved fuel efficiency in its own installation testing.
