Fitment Notes

• Compatible ECU required: This coil kit must be used with an ECU that supports dwell time adjustment - it is not compatible with the factory RB26DETT ECU without dwell time control capability
• The factory ignition spark plug cover cannot be used in its unmodified form - the rear portion of the stock cover must be trimmed to allow clearance for the new coil assemblies (see HKS installation example)
• The factory external ignition transistor unit can be removed after installation of this kit, as each coil includes a built-in long-life power transistor; HKS recommends installing the HKS Transistor Cover (P/N 22998-AN001 or 22998-AN002) in place of the removed stock transistor
• Designed to be used with a high-performance spark plug capable of utilizing the increased secondary voltage - HKS Super Fire Racing Series spark plugs are recommended
• The red bolts shown in product photography are not included

Product Description

The HKS 43005-AN002 Super Fire Racing Coil Pro is a complete direct ignition coil upgrade kit developed specifically for the Nissan Skyline GT-R BCNR33. Born from the ignition system used in HKS's own RB26 Complete Engine program - the same coils fitted to HKS's race-proven complete engine builds - this kit delivers secondary voltage up to 1.5 times greater than the factory BCNR33 coil packs, providing a stronger, more consistent spark under the high-RPM, high-boost conditions the RB26DETT is frequently subjected to in modified applications.

Each coil integrates a built-in long-life power transistor, eliminating the factory external transistor unit and the ignition failures associated with transistor ageing on the BCNR33. The dual O-ring coil spacers seal each coil against dust and moisture on the engine side while reducing electrical noise at the bracket interface, allowing operation without the factory spark plug cover if desired. The vehicle-specific rubber spark plug cap covers the full length of the RB26 spark plug body - significantly reducing the risk of flashover that shorter or generic caps leave exposed. Installation requires an ECU with dwell time adjustment capability; the factory RB26DETT ECU does not support this without modification.
