Fitment Notes

• Covers both the WRX (VAF, FA20DIT) and WRX STI (VAB, EJ257) on the shared VA-body platform - same chassis mounting points for both variants.
• This is a chassis-mounted micro-vibration damper - it does not replace or interact with coilovers, shocks, or any suspension component. Compatible with both stock and aftermarket suspension setups.
• Performance characteristics are best realized when paired with the HKS HIPERMAX S coilover kit for a fully balanced system of chassis damping, ride comfort, and handling refinement.
• Does not fit the prior GR/GV-chassis WRX/STI (2008-2014) or the current VB-chassis WRX (2022+). There is no WRX STI successor on the VB platform.

The HKS 83003-KF001 is the Yamaha Performance Damper® for the 2015-2021 Subaru WRX and WRX STI on the VA platform, covering both the VAF-chassis WRX (FA20DIT 2.0L turbo) and the VAB-chassis WRX STI (EJ257 2.5L turbo). Licensed from Yamaha Motor Co., Ltd. and vehicle-specifically tuned by HKS for the VA-body's AWD chassis dynamics, this damper targets the high-frequency micro-vibrations that travel through the body from road input, tire feedback, and structural flex - operating at a micrometer displacement scale that conventional suspension components cannot address.
