• Oil relief pressure is adjustable after installation - however, the alternator must be removed to access the adjustment; plan for this during installation
• Outer shim design allows the relief pressure adjustment to be visually confirmed during setup

Product Description

The HKS 15003-AN001 is a complete oil pump upgrade kit engineered for the Nissan RB26DETT as fitted to the R32, R33, and R34 Skyline GT-R. The factory RB26 oil pump becomes a significant weak point in highly modified builds - at elevated power levels and sustained high RPM, the OEM pump's output of 42-47 L/min is insufficient to maintain adequate oil pressure and flow to critical engine components. Oil starvation at high RPM is a well-documented failure mode on modified RB26 engines, and this HKS pump directly addresses it with a 38% increase in flow capacity, delivering 65 L/min at 6,000 rpm.

HKS achieved this increase through a complete redesign: a larger rotor with revised geometry (88mm outer diameter, 12.4mm tooth width, 10:11 tooth count), increased rotor thickness front and rear, and a material upgrade from OEM sintered alloy to Temper SCM435 chromoly steel - resulting in a rotor that is approximately twice as strong as stock and fully capable of handling the demands of a built, high-boost RB26. The redesigned pump case further reduces internal flow resistance, and the addition of adjustable oil relief pressure (not present on the OEM pump) allows the builder to set oil pressure to match the specific engine's requirements.
