The HKS 24999-AZ001 Fine Tune Sport timing belt is a reinforced upgrade for the B6 and BP-engined Mazda Miata, built to hold up under circuit and sport driving. HKS reports roughly 2.1 times greater heat resistance, tooth-skip load capacity, tooth durability, and cut resistance compared to a conventional belt, thanks to aramid and nylon fiber teeth paired with an H-NBR rubber compound and a heatproof, waterproof, high-strength core wire.

The belt's purple backside is printed with the HKS logo, product name, and code number for easy identification during service. Because the increased strength changes the belt's tension characteristics, drivers may notice added drive noise compared to a stock belt, and the nylon-fiber facing can accelerate cam pulley wear over time - regular inspection is recommended.
