Fitment Notes

• This kit (27002-AN104) is designed exclusively for the DBA-R35 chassis (2012-2016 model years) - it is not confirmed for 2017 and later GT-R production years
• For 2007-2011 CBA-R35 GT-R (earlier production), refer to HKS 27002-AN102 or 27002-AN103 - those kits are designed for the CBA chassis year range and differ in piping and attachment configuration
• Installation requires modification of the front bumper inner air ducts
• Washer pump harness extension (0.5SQ x 250mm, x2 wires) is required but not included
• An additional 2 liters of Nissan GT-R GR6 transmission (MT) oil is required for installation and is not included in the kit
• After installation, washer fluid reservoir capacity is reduced to approximately 1 liter (from the factory 1.5 liters); the washer fluid level sensor must be removed and the low-washer warning light will not function

Product Description

The HKS 27002-AN104 DCT Fluid Cooler Kit is an air-to-oil transmission cooling system developed for the 2012-2016 Nissan GT-R (DBA-R35) and its GR6 dual clutch transmission. The factory GR6 cooling system relies solely on a water-cooled heat exchanger that shares cooling load with the engine coolant circuit. Under sustained hard driving or track use, this arrangement allows transmission oil temperatures to climb rapidly - triggering the GT-R's fail-safe at 140-145°C, cutting power, and in extreme cases forcing a switch from AWD to 2WD mode as the 4WD clutch temperatures rise independently.

The HKS kit adds a 15-row, 200 x 220 x 48.5mm air-to-oil cooler core mounted in the front left fender, fed by a dedicated FRP duct. Rather than replacing the factory heat exchanger, the system integrates alongside it via an HKS thermostat, allowing the transmission oil to be pre-stabilized quickly at moderate temperatures before routing through the air-to-oil core under sustained load. The result - validated at Fuji Speedway - is continuous circuit operation at a stable 127°C (260°F) transmission oil temperature and an average 5°C (9°F) reduction in overall water temperature. -10 AN lines minimize flow restriction throughout the oil circuit, and a purpose-built R35 aluminum washer reservoir replaces the factory unit to accommodate the fender-mounted core packaging.
